Details
Our client are looking to recruit a Payroll Advisor on an initial 3 month contract possibly to go permanent. This is a Hybrid role after the first 2 weeks working in the office.
Key purpose of role
To process the weekly payroll ensuring deadlines are met, provide an efficient and effective administration support service whilst complying with company policies, procedures, and payroll legislation at all times.
Key Tasks

To work as a member of the Payroll Team, ensuring that operatives are paid accurately and on time.

To enter required information on the system.

To enter statutory information on the system

To monitor statutory deductions.

To process deductions for external bodies
-
To run Payroll Reports and check and amend where necessary

To monitor emails
-
To check invoices received
-
To update relevant spreadsheets
-
To complete forms from external bodies, for example, Solicitors, Department of Work and Pensions etc

To complete monthly returns by the given deadlines

To Liaise with internal departments
-
To communicate effectively with the payroll team and Vital branches

To deal with telephone/email queries from external bodies i.e. HMRC, DWP
-
To resolve email queries from branches and operatives promptly and effectively
Experience
-
Prior experience in a payroll department
-
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Comprehensive familiarity with payroll software and processes
-
Good timekeeping and ability to meet strict deadlines
-
A keen eye for detail and accuracy
-
Remain calm under pressure
